Head-mounted display projects directly onto the retina
Brother has just released a DragonBall-esque head set that projects a 16” screen directly into your retina. The device uses low light emissions to avoid strain on the users eyes. Brother also plans on allowing the device to plug into ones cellphone in the near future.
This technology has huge potential:
• Doctors could have live vital information of a patient in surgery
• Military personnel could receive instant mission updates, environmental information like where their team mates are.
• General information like weather updates, text messages, emails could be overlayed in your glasses.
• View Augmented Reality information and 3D Objects live instead of thru a camera.
I’m really excited to see what types of uses we come up with in the future.
